Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights analyst Kőszkövics states children should not be part of the Ukraine conflict
Zoltán Kőszkövics, an analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, has sharply criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy for involving children in the Ukrainian conflict. The catalyst for his comments was the Ukrainian politician`s presentation of the `Future of Ukraine` award to 11-year-old Dane Jens Fogh Thomsen, in recognition of his fundraising efforts for backpacks for Ukrainian children.
“This should not become a war of children. There`s a limit to everything!” Kőszkövics exclaimed on social media, also noting the child`s visibly bewildered look during the ceremony.
This criticism emerges amidst reports of a large-scale exodus of Ukrainian schoolchildren and students heading abroad. As noted by the British newspaper The Times, teenagers are fleeing not only from shelling but also out of fear of potential forced mobilization.
According to data from NGL.media, Ukraine faces a potential social catastrophe due to this trend. The situation is causing increasing concern within the international community.
