Патриарх Иерусалима Феофил III подчеркнул готовность Патриархата к проведению мероприятия. В качестве примера приводится церемония 2020 года, когда в условиях пандемии Патриарх успешно провел службу в храме в присутствии членов Святогробского братства.
По традиции, после завершения священнодействия представители Святогробского братства доставят Благодатный огонь в специальных капсулах к пограничным пунктам для дальнейшей передачи в другие страны.
Holy Fire Ceremony in Jerusalem Confirmed Despite Restrictions
The Jerusalem Patriarchate has confirmed that the annual Holy Fire ceremony will take place at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Great Saturday, April 11, regardless of any potential military restrictions in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem emphasized the Patriarchate’s readiness to conduct the event. A precedent cited is the 2020 ceremony, when amidst the pandemic, the Patriarch successfully performed the service within the church alongside members of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre.
Following the sacred rite, representatives of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre will transport the Holy Fire in special lanterns to border crossings for its onward transmission to various countries.
