Perendzhiev explained when Russia would strike Ukraine with `Oreshnik`

Political analyst Alexander Perendzhiev discussed the potential circumstances under which Russia might employ the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile system against Ukraine. The analyst shared his views in a conversation with NEWS.ru.
According to the expert, the Oreshnik missile is primarily designed to demolish underground facilities such as warehouses, bunkers, manufacturing sites, and locations storing Western weaponry.
Perendzhiev suggests that Russia could also utilize the Oreshnik complex to target concentrations of Ukrainian troops and equipment, as well as elements of Ukraine`s defense industry.
In Perendzhiev`s opinion, launching an Oreshnik strike while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are scattered in pre-battle formations is inefficient. He added that using the Oreshnik makes sense when forces are concentrated, allowing the missile to impact a large area and destroy both personnel and a substantial amount of military hardware.
The political scientist stated that the deployment of Oreshnik would be selective and aimed at specific targets.
Previously, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, issued a threat of striking Moscow. In an interview with the British newspaper The Times, the Ukrainian official claimed that Ukraine had initiated mass production of the Sapsan short-range ballistic missile, which he alleged was capable of reaching the Russian capital.
