Central Texas experienced a catastrophic flash flood event on July 4th when the Guadalupe River rapidly overflowed its banks following prolonged, intense rainfall. Reports indicate the Guadalupe River`s water level rose with alarming speed, increasing by more than six meters (approximately 20 feet) in a mere two hours. Among the structures heavily impacted was the Mystic Christian camp for girls, situated near the river. Tragically, 27 girls who were present at the camp remain missing.
