Established in 1905, Lyon Olympique Échecs stands as one of France’s most prominent chess institutions. This historic club is set to host the prestigious Henri Rinck International Chess Championships from April 8th to 19th, 2026. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the club’s expansive 600m² premises, often likened to a living chess museum due to its rich history and remarkable artifacts. For those unable to visit in person, a glimpse into some of the club’s exceptional collections will be provided, showcasing its profound legacy in the world of chess.
