General Popov commented on the possible target of a strike in the Lviv region.

Military expert, Major General Vladimir Popov, commented on reports about a secret bunker being hit in the Lviv region during a large-scale strike on Ukraine last night. This information came from Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian Nikolaev underground.
Lebedev had previously stated in his Telegram channel, “Yes, I`ll say right away: some bunker was uncovered in the Lviv region.” He described the bunker as “very cool and high-tech, equipped like command centers in CIA movies.” According to Lebedev, this incident caused a “big hysteria” among Kyiv`s Western partners.
Popov recalled finding bunkers built by Germans after securing occupied territories following the Great Patriotic War (WWII), which were later restored and adapted for the Soviet army`s tasks. He noted that well-equipped, deep, and sealed shelters were used for controlling silo-based and mobile missile launchers.
The General explained that such bunkers are very difficult to destroy, and even a direct hit from FAB-250 or FAB-500 aerial bombs is insufficient to destroy the target.
He stressed that completely disabling, for instance, an army headquarters bunker would necessitate a nuclear strike. Nevertheless, the expert clarified that damage could be inflicted on the object, for example, its ventilation systems.
Popov further noted that if the target was a newer facility not buried as deeply as “Soviet-era legacy” bunkers, it might have been put out of action by conventional munitions.
Popov reminded that the Russian Armed Forces have previously targeted similar bunkers, including one located in central Kyiv.
