New photographs continue to circulate, revealing the grim aftermath of a severe incident at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. The images depict the consequences of a forceful collision between an aircraft and a fire truck.
Most of the shared photos and videos show the scene on the runway following the crash. Emergency service vehicles are seen surrounding the point of impact, with the damaged aircraft positioned with its nose significantly elevated.
Several images highlight the devastating extent of the damage, showing the airliner’s cockpit completely destroyed and crushed almost back to the main fuselage. Emergency personnel are actively working to clear the debris left by the powerful collision.
The incident came to light earlier that day. At LaGuardia Airport, an Air Canada Express aircraft, operated by Jazz Aviation, reportedly collided with a fire truck. The collision occurred while the plane was moving at approximately 39 kilometers per hour (about 24 miles per hour). In response to the accident, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) halted airport operations. Tragically, both pilots of the aircraft perished, and four firefighters sustained injuries.
