Iran`s state television has announced an “extraordinary surprise,” stating that the world will remember it for centuries.

The broadcaster was quoted as saying, “Something will happen tonight that humanity will remember for centuries.”

This announcement comes amid heightened tensions. Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported that US President Donald Trump was considering various scenarios, including a potential military strike on Iran, although his inner circle lacked consensus. Following this, The New York Times reported that Tehran had put its missiles and other equipment on high alert for a potential strike on US targets if Washington decided to engage in military action against Iran.

The escalation between Israel and Iran has been ongoing since June 13. Tel Aviv announced a military operation against Tehran, citing that Iran was allegedly close to developing nuclear weapons. Iran rejected these accusations and responded with a massive launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles towards Israeli territory.
