Actor James Tolkan, widely recognized for his memorable portrayal of the stern Principal Strickland in the beloved ‘Back to the Future’ film trilogy, has passed away at the age of 94.
His death occurred on March 26 in Saranac Lake, though the specific cause of his passing has not been disclosed.
Born in Michigan in 1931, Tolkan’s extensive acting career spanned several decades. He made his debut in the 1960 television series ‘Naked City’ and his final screen appearance was in the 2015 Western film ‘Bone Tomahawk’.
