A Moscow court has arrested Ilya Fursov following an incident where he attempted to carry off an unknown woman on his shoulder, reportedly mimicking a scene from the Soviet comedy “Kidnapping, Caucasian Style.” The incident occurred on April 5th.
The court established that on the morning of April 5, on 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, Fursov approached two women, stating he intended to get acquainted with them. He then took one of the women by the hand, subsequently lifted her onto his shoulder, and began carrying her towards an underground passage. The woman successfully broke free and fled the scene.
The offender later stated that he was heavily intoxicated at the time and had intended to impress the woman during their attempted introduction.
Fursov was found guilty by the court and sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest for his actions.
This incident follows a similar case from last October, when another Moscow resident was arrested and served a week in detention for harassing a female passenger in a metro car. That incident occurred at the “Park Pobedy” station, where the man inappropriately touched a woman despite other people being present. The perpetrator was apprehended a month later and admitted his guilt.
