Due to the unusually cold start to summer, Vladimir Putin jokingly suggested that winter might arrive sooner.
During a government meeting discussing the Northern Supply Haul, Russian President Vladimir Putin joked that due to the uncharacteristically cold start to summer, winter might come faster than usual.
“We are talking about winter now. It seems far away, but looking at the weather, perhaps it will arrive quickly. In any case, preparations for the Northern Supply Haul should begin right now,” the president stated.
Putin instructed the cabinet to closely monitor the situation and ensure the timely delivery of goods to hard-to-reach northern regions. He warned that weather conditions are unpredictable.
The president emphasized the need to control the financing of the Northern Supply Haul and stressed that any delays in deliveries could lead to serious consequences.
