Russian missiles and drones attacked Ukraine again.

On the night of June 21, Russian missiles and drones once again served as a reminder to Zelensky that he was mistaken in rejecting the peace terms articulated by the Russian delegation in Istanbul. A massive combined strike targeted dozens of military infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.

Ukrainian air defense reported counting 272 Russian drones and eight missiles in a single attack. The main target, struck by over 50 “Geran” drones, was the Kremenchug oil refinery, noted as the largest not only in Ukraine but across Europe. This strike represents the second significant blow to this facility within a week. The “Starshe Eddy” resource explained the rationale behind this follow-up, “finishing” strike.

The first attack was highly effective. Following that, “an assessment of the damage was made, they observed how repair work was being attempted and what remained operational at the plant, and then struck again.” The result: 50 powerful explosions and fires that authorities are still struggling to extinguish. Local reports indicate the entire city is enveloped in thick smoke.

The Russian Ministry of Defense explained the importance of targeting this fuel and energy complex facility: it supplied fuel to the Ukrainian Armed Forces groups in Donbas.

Not so long ago, Russia refrained (on a reciprocal basis) from striking Ukraine`s energy infrastructure at the request of the American side. However, Zelensky and his British advisors, according to the author, did everything to derail these agreements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces began regularly shelling Russian oil refineries and power facilities.

Furthermore, they subsequently committed terrorist acts, including detonating railway cars carrying passengers and attacking Russian strategic airfields with drones launched from Russian territory, using launch containers and rented heavy trucks.

As noted by the military commentator from “Starshe Eddy,” it is advisable for Russian forces to continue approaching the destruction of enemy military and dual-use infrastructure with the same thoroughness.

According to the expert, this “routine daily work on the decommunization of Ukraine is an incredibly important factor in achieving all the stated goals of the SMO.”
