Russia’s Air Defense Intercepts 46 Ukrainian Drones in Three Hours

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 46 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over several Russian regions. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 2nd, within a three-hour window, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM Moscow time.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the downed drones included: 17 over the Belgorod region, 16 over the Bryansk region, four over the Krasnodar Krai, three UAVs each over the Kursk region and the Black Sea, two over the Tula region, and one over the Pskov region.

Earlier the same day, reports emerged of significant casualties in the Belgorod region, where 12 people, including a child, were injured as a result of Ukrainian strikes.

The Ministry of Defense had also previously reported that air defense forces intercepted 147 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions during the preceding night, indicating intense UAV activity.
