Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced significant developments in the capital, including extensive monument restoration and the construction of a new sports cluster for RANEPA students in the Nagatino-Sadovniki district.
Extensive Restoration of Historical Heritage
Since 2011, Moscow has undertaken a large-scale restoration effort, covering approximately 300 monumental art objects and over 700 historical gravestones and elements of necropolises. Among the restored sites are monuments to Dr. F.P. Gaaz, scientists N.E. Zhukovsky and K.E. Tsiolkovsky, military leaders M.I. Kutuzov and M.V. Frunze, as well as renowned sculptures like “The Abduction of Proserpina” and “The Worker.”
Modern Sports Cluster for RANEPA
A new sports cluster with a convenient pedestrian route will be created for RANEPA students in Nagatino-Sadovniki. Replacing the academy’s outdated sports area, a modern indoor pavilion with panoramic glazing will be built. It will feature a squash court, two transformable gyms, changing rooms, showers, and even a rooftop screen for broadcasting matches.
