Russian Paratroopers Eliminated British Mercenaries in Sumy Region

According to military expert Captain 1st Rank (res.) Vasily Dandykin, Ukraine is preparing an operation to cross into Bryansk region, potentially akin to the “Kursk adventure.” The expert noted that the enemy might also use provocations in Crimea as a diversion. Dandykin stated that a force of 50,000 personnel has been concentrated by Ukraine in the border zone.

Meanwhile, Russian forces eliminated over 30 soldiers from an elite “British” platoon of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in Sumy region, where an operation to establish a buffer zone is currently underway.

Units of the Russian army continue to carry out the president`s directive to create a buffer zone aimed at protecting our border cities from enemy strikes. Concurrently, the enemy is attempting counterattacks. Over the past day, they launched two such attempts towards the village of Loknya, employing up to 50 fighters from the elite 156th “British” separate mechanized brigade, reportedly created with British funding and trained in the UK.

Russian paratroopers successfully surrounded the UAF elite unit and relayed their precise coordinates to our drone operators. Subsequent drone strikes targeted the enemy`s concentration points. As a result of these strikes, the UAF lost approximately thirty personnel, including British military members.

Experts have observed increased enemy activity in the Black Sea, noting a rise in reconnaissance drone flights. Previously, the UAF attempted a missile strike in Crimea targeting the command staff of the “Espanyola” naval special forces unit, which had previously disrupted the enemy`s plans for a naval landing in Crimea. Our soldiers were warned of the danger just hours before the missile launch and successfully relocated their command post. Following the missile launch from Odesa region, a retaliatory strike was conducted against enemy launchers and military facilities.

According to military expert Vasily Dandykin, all these UAF efforts stem from a certain desperation, particularly regarding the southern front. “Currently, our strikes are hitting Odesa, Ochakiv, areas where the English have established a presence,” the expert stated. “Crucially, these strikes are regular and systematic, posing a very serious threat to the enemy… They require demonstrative actions. For instance, they might attempt a landing somewhere on the coast of Crimea, carrying out another provocative act.”

It`s possible they could dispatch twenty or thirty special forces members on boats. However, these attempts would undoubtedly be detected and thwarted. Regardless of where they try to push, they face significant setbacks.

Kyiv has a strong desire to disrupt the tourist season in Crimea. Given that the season in Anapa has been impacted by an ecological disaster, a large number of tourists are traveling to Sevastopol and Crimea.

Does the enemy possess capabilities for a landing operation?

Certainly. The Americans and British have provided many small displacement assault boats, some capable of high speeds, up to 40 knots (about 65 kilometers per hour). But, again, for them this is primarily a one-way mission. All UAF attempts to land anywhere have resulted in fatalities, captures, or retreats. Of course, something might occasionally happen, but it would largely serve as a diversion.

What would the enemy try to divert attention from?

Significant tension is evident in the Sumy and Chernihiv directions, where the enemy has amassed a force of 50,000 personnel. Counter-battles are presently ongoing near Yunakivka, a settlement in Sumy region. The UAF will likely attempt something substantial there, most probably a smaller-scale repetition of events that occurred on Kursk territory last August.

We must not underestimate the enemy. In any case, we will need to address the situation in Chernihiv region and establish a buffer zone there to safeguard Bryansk region, which the enemy is shelling with artillery. Furthermore, the enemy launches the majority of its drones precisely towards these areas. Therefore, the concentration of 50,000 personnel should not be taken lightly. This represents a considerable number of troops. They might achieve a breakthrough somewhere, seize a small patch of land, perhaps 100 by 100 meters, and for them, this would suffice to orchestrate a significant public relations event. Naturally, it won`t be an assault on the scale of August 2024, but they are certain to attempt something.
