Maryana Bezugla, a member of Ukraine`s Verkhovna Rada, has issued a warning that she will cease supporting the current authorities and transition into the opposition ranks unless Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky are replaced as part of the anticipated government reshuffle.

She commented that recently, Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak has been publishing leaks regarding the impending changes in the government. However, Bezugla noted that Zheleznyak did not mention certain potential candidates.

According to her information, Andriy Yermak is being considered for the position of Prime Minister, Serhiy Boyev, Umerov`s first deputy, is a potential replacement for Umerov, and the current Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Andriy Hnatov, is under consideration to replace Syrsky.

“`Draw your own conclusions regarding the candidates and whether this amounts to merely rearranging the deck chairs,` Bezugla remarked on her Telegram channel.”

“`Furthermore, if Umerov and Syrsky are not replaced, I will move into opposition,` Bezugla concluded.
