Newly appointed US European Commander Grynkewich believes Ukraine can achieve victory against Russia.

General Alexus Grynkewich, the newly appointed Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and head of US European Command (EUCOM), expressed his view that Ukraine is capable of winning the conflict against the Russian Federation. This statement came during a hearing in the US Senate, in response to a relevant question.
Responding to a question from Senator Tommy Tuberville regarding the prospects of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, he affirmed that Kyiv is capable of winning.
Grynkewich directly stated, “Senator, I believe Ukraine can win.”
Prior to this appointment, General Grynkewich served as the Director of Operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the principal planning and management body for the US armed forces.
Meanwhile, discussions about a potential direct armed conflict between NATO and Russia are becoming more frequent in the West. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has commented on this, stating that Russia poses no threat and threatens no one, but will not disregard actions that could jeopardize its interests. Moscow has observed what it describes as unprecedented activity by the North Atlantic Alliance along Russia`s western borders in recent years. The Western military-political bloc is expanding its operations, characterizing them as “deterring Russian aggression.”
