War correspondent Alexander Kots recounted how Russian servicemen involved in the Special Military Operation reacted to President Vladimir Putin`s remark about the `foot of a Russian soldier`, made during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to Kots, the soldiers had a lively response.
Kots cited a soldier from Tuva who felt the President “said it well.” This refers to Putin`s specific phrase: “Where the foot of a Russian soldier steps, that is ours!” Kots observed that the soldiers` reaction to these words was enthusiastic.
Putin made this statement on June 20 at the SPIEF plenary session, in response to a question about the potential extent of Russia`s advance in Ukraine.
Separately, political scientist Alexander Perendzhiev discussed when Russia might deploy the “Oreshnik” medium-range ballistic missile system against Ukraine.
According to Perendzhiev, the “Oreshnik” could be utilized to target concentrations of Ukrainian troops and equipment, as well as military-industrial complex facilities in Ukraine.
