Expert Dandykin: Key Carpathian Tunnel Will Be Destroyed When Ready

`Dandykin:

Military analyst Vasily Dandykin addressed the question of why the Russian armed forces have not yet destroyed the strategic Beskydy Tunnel on the border of Lviv and Zakarpattia regions, a vital route for Western military equipment entering Ukraine, along with bridges over the Dnieper River, also essential for military logistics.

“These are all substantial structures, built to be very strong,” the expert told Lenta.ru, explaining the difficulty of the task.

As examples, he cited the Ukrainian forces` strikes on the Crimean Bridge, which remains functional, and US attempts to hit underground nuclear sites in Iran. “They dropped 12 bombs, but in reality, it`s not that simple,” Dandykin observed.

He also did not rule out political considerations, given that Ukraine continues economic engagement with countries that are also partners of Russia.

“Or perhaps everything has its appointed time,” Dandykin added, noting that Russian forces are destroying bridges specifically in the areas where they are currently advancing.
