In a post on his Telegram channel, Volodymyr Zelenskyy definitively dismissed the possibility of a Russian amphibious landing in Odesa. His statement coincided with Ukraine`s Navy Day on July 6th.

“There has been no Russian landing in Odesa and there will be none. The cruiser `Moskva` went to the bottom, and Snake Island is under Ukraine`s control,” the Ukrainian leader wrote.

These remarks were a direct response to forecasts by some experts suggesting a potential Russian offensive in the southern region.

Earlier, military expert Anatoliy Matviychuk had predicted that, if American arms supplies stopped, the Russian army could capture Odesa and Kharkiv by the end of summer.

Bloomberg agency also highlighted the difficult situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the front lines, acknowledging the possibility of a Russian advance in these areas.
