Medical news

On Thursday, April 23rd, Moscow set a new daily record for low atmospheric pressure, with barometers registering 727.6 millimeters of mercury. This reading surpassed the previous record established in 2015. The announcement was made by Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center.

“Today, Moscow has already broken its daily record for low atmospheric pressure,” stated the meteorologist in an interview with RIA Novosti. “The previous value was 729.5 millimeters of mercury, set on this day in 2015.”

May holidays are expected to bring warm weather to Moscow residents, according to a forecast shared by Alexander Ilyin, a meteorologist at the Meteo forecast center.

However, the Moscow region can anticipate nighttime frosts down to minus three degrees Celsius, along with light precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow on Saturday, April 25th.

Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, indicated that a snow cover is expected to form in the Moscow region by the end of the work week.

Previously, Gennady Krasnikov, head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated that global warming has led to a sharply continental climate in Russia.
