The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported that Israel attacked targets within Iran using air-launched ballistic missiles.
“The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the Zionist enemy, using air-launched ballistic missiles, attacked targets on the territory of our country,” reported the IRNA agency on Monday, June 8.
On June 7, Iran launched missile strikes against Israel. Following this, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) put its units on high alert and issued a warning about potential new attacks in the coming hours.
As a result, Israel temporarily closed Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, and Qatar completely closed its airspace.
The previous day, Iran carried out strikes on American military bases in the Middle East in response to the United States’ attack on the islands of Sirik and Qeshm. The IRGC also reported an attack on four tankers attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz without permission.
