Man Armed with Toy Gun Robs Second-Hand Store in Irkutsk Region

A Bratsk resident attacked a second-hand store employee with a toy pistol and made off with cash from the register. Police apprehended the suspect hot on his trail. The Irkutsk Region Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on Saturday, June 13.

“Police determined that a man wearing a black hooded jacket entered the premises and threatened a 21-year-old sales consultant with an object resembling a pistol, demanding all the day’s earnings. The frightened employee handed over 55,000 rubles in cash to the attacker, after which he fled,” the publication states.

It is specified that the perpetrator has a prior criminal record. The apprehended individual confessed to the crime and admitted to having already spent the stolen money on personal needs. A criminal case has been initiated.
