On April 16th, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced via his messenger channel that the capital is increasing the number of programs designed to enhance teaching quality.

Currently, approximately 100,000 educators are employed in the capital, with the majority holding the highest qualification categories. As Sergei Sobyanin noted, the city introduced several new programs last year to improve teaching standards. Furthermore, metropolitan teachers have begun to explore the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process.

“We are elevating the prestige of the teaching profession through professional skill competitions. In 2025, around 26,000 individuals participated. The best teachers represented the capital at the federal level,” the mayor added.
