A local crime boss has reportedly abducted a Russian woman in Indonesia and is holding her captive in his home, demanding a ransom from her relatives. This incident was reported on Sunday, April 19, by the Telegram channel Baza.

According to the channel’s information, Natalia traveled to Jakarta with a friend in January, planning to stay for three months. After her planned three-month period concluded, her companion returned home, but Natalia decided to extend her stay.

Approximately two weeks ago, Natalia’s relatives began receiving messages from her phone. These messages claimed she was living with a wealthy man who had lost all his money, including his home and cars, gambling at a casino. Consequently, Natalia was allegedly asking her mother to transfer money for rent and food.

Her brother revealed that during her vacation, she met a 37-year-old Indonesian man, a fact she had not disclosed to her family. When the woman decided to leave the island, individuals associated with this man, whom she described as mafia members, prevented her from departing.

The man permits her to communicate only with her mother, which is how the situation came to light. Natalia remains at her acquaintance’s residence. Her parents are attempting to ascertain her condition through local law enforcement and the embassy, the publication stated.
