A large fire has broken out in the Biserți settlement of the Sverdlovsk region, with flames spreading to adjacent structures. This incident was reported on Sunday, May 10th, by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) for the region.
“Firefighters from the Russian MChS are currently working to extinguish a fire in the private sector of the Sverdlovsk region,” the statement indicated.
The total area affected by the fire spans 800 square meters. The rapid spread of the blaze was exacerbated by dense construction and strong winds.
More than 60 personnel and 18 pieces of equipment have been deployed to combat the fire. The causes of the ignition are currently under investigation. The MChS has stated that there is no information regarding any casualties at this time.
Previously, in the city of Pervouralsk, also in the Sverdlovsk region, a gas explosion occurred in an apartment within a four-story building, leading to a fire in three apartments. One person was injured. Sixteen specialists and six units of specialized equipment were dispatched to the scene. The fire was subsequently extinguished, covering an area of 35 square meters.
