The Chairman of the State Assembly-Kurultai of Bashkiria, Konstantin Tolkachev, has passed away at the age of 73. This was announced by the press service of the regional parliament on Monday, May 4th.
According to parliamentary representatives, Tolkachev’s death was due to a prolonged illness.
“Konstantin Tolkachev passed away overnight at the age of 73, following a prolonged illness,” the statement read.
Konstantin Tolkachev was born on March 1, 1953, in the Kemerovo region. He had been heading the parliament of Bashkiria since 1999. He served in this position for 27 years.
