Youth Electoral Club of Moscow: Development Project Launched on ‘City of Ideas’ Platform

Medical news

From June 5th to June 18th, Moscow residents are invited to participate in a project on the ‘City of Ideas’ platform dedicated to the Youth Electoral Club of Moscow (MiKM). Anyone interested can share their initiatives for the community’s development and for promoting its programs among the city’s inhabitants.

“The Youth Electoral Club of Moscow serves as a guide for schoolchildren and students through Russia’s electoral system. Participants attend lectures, business games, forums, masterclasses, and meetings with experts. To date, these events have brought together over 10,000 people, with more than a thousand of them serving as observers in elections at various levels,” noted Marina Prozorova, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Territorial Executive Bodies.

Proposals are being accepted until June 10th across three key areas. Participants can brainstorm event formats, suggest ideas for the club’s annual forum, and propose social media content formats that would appeal to a broad audience.

An expert team will select ideas for a vote, which will take place on the platform from June 17th to June 18th. The most promising initiatives will be implemented with the support of the Moscow Department of Territorial Executive Bodies.

Until June 18th, thematic discussions will be available on the platform as part of the project. Muscovites can share their opinions on whether the community needs a mascot and what it should be like, which aspects of the electoral sphere should be highlighted more often, what election-related topics generate the most interest, and what would motivate young people to join such a club. Additionally, residents will be able to propose new nominations for the youth electoral law competition.

The ‘City of Ideas’ platform has been operating since 2014. It has attracted over 677,000 users and has seen more than 9.9 thousand proposals implemented. Citizens have participated in projects focused on electronic services, culture, entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, transport, and other areas. The projects are developed by the State Public Institution ‘New Management Technologies’ and the Moscow Department of Information Technology.
