On May 17th, St. Petersburg hosted the 10th anniversary charity run ‘Running with the Diary,’ organized by the publication ‘Peterburgsky Dnevnik.’ The event, held in support of the ‘Paper Bird’ charity foundation, saw the participation of approximately 2612 individuals.

The run attracted not only professional athletes but also amateurs, corporate teams, and government representatives. Organizers prepared different distances tailored to age groups. Adult participants could choose between 5 or 10 kilometers, while young athletes had a 500-meter option.

“The ‘Running with the Diary’ run can be considered one of the kindest events in St. Petersburg. It brings together all those willing to help others, and our run also gathers hundreds of children of various ages. This creates a special atmosphere of unity,” noted Kirill Smirnov, the publication’s editor-in-chief.

Traditionally, as part of the run, anyone can become a bone marrow donor. This year, 44 individuals joined the federal donor registry at the ‘Running with the Diary’ event.

Finalists from the sports and entertainment show ‘Titans’ – Oleg Villard, Anton Borzdy, Artem Babaev, and Daria Navarrskaya – along with theater and film actor, writer, and blogger Danil Mukhin, came to support the event.
