Actor Gela Meskhi has opened up about his initial encounter and relationship with his colleague, Ekaterina Klimova, with whom he was married for four years. Their connection began during auditions, quickly transitioning from professional to personal. The couple tied the knot in 2015 and later divorced in 2019, during which time they welcomed a daughter, Bella.
“The infatuation happened during the auditions. When she first came in, I became a bit nervous, reciting some lines,” the artist shared on the show “Stars Aligned” on NTV.
At the time, Klimova was already an established actress, while Meskhi was an emerging talent, which only added to his apprehension. However, he noted that this did not prevent him from developing feelings and pursuing a connection.
According to Meskhi, their professional meetings evolved into a friendly rapport. The cast and crew often spent time together off-set, including dinners at restaurants. It was within this relaxed setting that a romantic relationship gradually blossomed between Meskhi and Klimova.
Following their divorce, the actor has not remarried. He admits, however, that he does not shy away from social interactions with colleagues after filming concludes. He might invite a co-star to dinner if she is available and unattached.
Recently, Ekaterina Klimova posted a photo on her social media of her mother, Svetlana, and her 18-year-old son, Kornei.
