Man in Kuzbass Sentenced for Abusing Two Young Nieces for Three Years

A man in Kuzbass has been handed a prison sentence for sexually abusing his two young nieces over a three-year period. The court announced the verdict on Monday, May 18th, according to the regional courts’ joint press service.

The crimes took place in Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo region, between the autumn of 2021 and December 2024. The man, while under the influence of alcohol, committed acts of abuse against his two grand-nieces, born in 2014 and 2016, for three years.

The trial was held in Novokuznetsk. The court found the defendant guilty of committing violent sexual acts, exploiting the victims’ helpless state.

He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in a strict-regime colony. Additionally, the man is prohibited from any work involving children for ten years and was ordered to pay 600,000 rubles in moral compensation to the affected girls, as reported by the courts’ press service on Telegram.
