Activists from Southeast Moscow Delivered Four Thousand Easter Cakes to Soldiers in the Special Military Operation
In anticipation of Easter, activists from Moscow's Southeast Administrative Okrug (YuVAO) organized a patriotic initiative to support military personnel serving in the special military operation (SMO) zone. A batch of Easter cakes, along with supportive letters from young city residents, was delivered to the soldiers. Participants in this initiative included public advisors from the districts of Maryino, Lyublino, Kapotnya, Vykhino-Zhulebino, and Kuzminki.
Elena Dobryshkina, chairwoman of the public advisors in Lyublino district, noted the enthusiastic response from her team to the call to support the servicemen. Approximately 50 cakes were baked by the participants themselves.
Additionally, baked goods were provided by non-profit organizations from the southeastern part of the city. These included "Melba," which engages in educational activities and offers development programs for children and youth; "Kolibri," focused on creating projects for the adaptation of children and adults with special needs; the children's club "Podrostok" (Teenager); and the "Umka" development and leisure center.
The Easter cakes were blessed at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Quench My Sorrows" in Maryino, as reported by the official website of the Moscow Mayor.
