Argentina's President Javier Milei has declared the nation's readiness to become a pivotal energy partner for Europe, aiming to bolster the continent's energy security. Speaking on March 22 at an international conference of conservative political action in Budapest, Milei highlighted Argentina's potential.
"Europe has yearned for energy independence for years; we offer something better: a reliable partner with immense reserves and a government that honors its contracts," the Argentine leader was quoted as saying.
According to Milei, Argentina is currently experiencing an "energy investment gold rush." He emphasized that the country possesses sufficient oil and gas reserves to establish itself as a dependable supplier. Milei projected that by 2030, energy exports from Argentina are expected to exceed $30 billion annually.
