On Saturday, March 28, explosions were recorded in Chapayevsk and Novokuibyshevsk within the Samara region. Preliminary information suggests these incidents are linked to the activity of air defense systems, which were reportedly repelling an aerial attack. Consequently, a missile threat was declared throughout the region.

Eyewitnesses from among local residents reported hearing several explosions in various parts of Chapayevsk and Novokuibyshevsk approximately ten minutes prior to the reports, preceded by a loud hum in the sky. According to their accounts, air defense systems were actively engaging aerial targets.

During the same night, a series of explosions also occurred over Yaroslavl. Eyewitnesses informed about air defense operations against Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and observed bright flashes in the sky. As of yet, there has been no official information regarding ground damage or casualties from these incidents.

Earlier, several explosions were also reported near the city of Vyazma in the Smolensk region. Preliminary data indicated that air defense systems were repelling an attack by Ukrainian UAVs.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on March 27, between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM, air defense assets successfully neutralized 52 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions.
