Man in England Steals Ambulance with Patient and Paramedic Inside
In a bizarre incident that unfolded in Stoke-on-Trent, England, a man stole an ambulance while a paramedic and a patient were still on board. The incident occurred on the evening of March 25, around 8:15 PM, near the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The perpetrator managed to get into the parked emergency vehicle and drive away. Fortunately, neither the paramedic nor the patient inside sustained any injuries during the unexpected theft.
Staffordshire Police quickly initiated a pursuit of the stolen ambulance, tracking it to a petrol station located on the A34 highway. Upon reaching the station, the man abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot through the surrounding marshland. However, his efforts were thwarted by the police, who apprehended him with the assistance of a police dog.
The 31-year-old suspect has since been arrested and faces a multitude of charges. These include kidnapping, vehicle theft, driving under the influence (DUI), and refusing a medical examination. The specific motives behind this unusual crime have not yet been publicly disclosed by authorities.
