Партия «Тиса» лидирует на выборах в Венгрии после подсчета около трети голосов

The opposition party "Tisza", led by MEP Péter Magyar, is leading in the parliamentary elections in Hungary. According to the National Election Office (NVI), after processing 37.04 percent of the ballots, the party has received 51.22 percent of the votes.

The ruling alliance of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, "Fidesz" - Hungarian Civic Alliance, is gathering 40.11 percent of the votes.

As a result, "Tisza" is set to secure 132 seats in the 199-member parliament, while "Fidesz" will have 59 seats. The far-right party "Our Homeland" has garnered the support of 6.09 percent of voters and will obtain eight seats in parliament.

President Tamás Sulyok has announced that a session of the National Assembly of Hungary, where the prime minister will be elected, will take place within 30 days after the elections.

The voting concluded on April 12 at 20:00 Moscow time. According to the NVI, voter turnout was 77.8%. Viktor Orbán has held the position of Prime Minister of Hungary since 2010.

The current Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his wife Anikó Lévai have already cast their votes at a polling station in the parliamentary elections.
