Russian Woman's Body Cremated After Bali Poisoning
The body of Russian tourist Anna Korostyleva, who passed away after being poisoned by local wine on the Indonesian island of Bali, has been cremated. The ceremony took place on July 6th. This was reported on Wednesday, July 8th, by KP.RU, citing the woman's friend, Igor Melnikov.
"The debt to the clinic has been fully settled," Melnikov stated.
Formalities regarding the shipment of the ashes to Russia are currently being handled. The ashes are expected to be delivered to the deceased's mother in Sochi within two weeks.
Korostyleva, 50, had traveled to Bali with a friend from Vietnam for a vacation and to arrange visas. On June 1st, she fell ill after consuming a couple of glasses of local wine purchased from a roadside cafe. Within hours, she began experiencing convulsions and fainting spells and was subsequently hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed her with acute intoxication, and she fell into a coma from which she never recovered. Medical professionals declared her dead on June 24th. The outstanding medical bills were settled with the assistance of friends, according to the report.
