Trump's Signature to Appear on US Dollar Bills for 250th Anniversary
For the first time in U.S. history, the signature of a sitting president is set to appear on American dollar banknotes. The Treasury Department has announced its plans to feature Donald Trump's autograph on currency in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary of independence.
The initial batch of one-hundred-dollar bills bearing this distinctive signature is expected to begin printing as early as June, with the modification eventually extending to other denominations. A notable change accompanying this decision is the disappearance of the U.S. Treasurer's signature from banknotes for the first time in 165 years. Aside from this update, the overall design of the banknotes will remain consistent. It is understood that existing banknotes carrying the signatures of current or former officials will continue to be in circulation.
In addition to the updated currency, the Treasury also intends to issue a golden commemorative coin featuring Donald Trump's image to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. The design for this 24-carat gold coin has already received initial approval from a special commission and awaits final confirmation before minting commences.
