Ukraine Drone Attack Injures Family in Kursk Region

A drone operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has struck a vehicle carrying a family in the Kursk region, resulting in three individuals sustaining injuries. The incident was reported on Saturday, May 2nd, by the regional governor, Alexander Khinshtein.

The attack occurred in the Khomutovsky district. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) targeted a car with a family from the Belgorod region who were traveling towards Bryansk.

“The man and woman sustained barotrauma, and another man received shrapnel wounds to his left leg. They have been provided with first aid. As soon as the situation permits, they will be transported to the Kursk Regional Hospital,” Khinshtein stated on his Telegram channel.

This event follows a previous drone attack on May 1st, where three children were injured in the courtyard of a residential building on the border of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Two of the injured children were taken to Simferopol, while the condition of the third child is considered extremely critical.

On the same day, a Ukrainian drone also hit a digital television and radio broadcasting tower in the Rylsky district. According to Khinshtein, specialized teams have begun emergency repair work.
