At the Seville Fair in Spain, a cable on an attraction broke, resulting in injuries to four people. The incident was reported on Saturday, April 25th, by the BFM TV portal.
The attraction, known as the “Catapult,” is designed as a sphere and is supported by two cables. Footage released by media outlets shows that during a lift, one of the cables snapped mid-air, causing the individuals inside the mechanism to fall sharply downwards.
The Seville Fair is a significant annual celebration held in Seville, taking place two weeks after Easter.
In a separate incident on April 6th, an 18-meter Ferris wheel collapsed onto visitors at a night fair in Uttar Pradesh, northern India. At least several dozen people were injured. Among the injured were those who were on the attraction and those who were crushed by the immense metal structure.
Previously, two individuals became stranded at an altitude of approximately 300 meters after their hot air balloon collided with a cell tower in Texas. One person began climbing the tower while the other remained in the basket.
