Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinshtein announced on Monday, April 20th, that he has resumed his official duties after recovering from an injury and completing a rehabilitation course. He expressed his readiness to work diligently, acknowledging that the full recovery process is still ongoing.

“I am already working in a full capacity. There are many tasks and good deeds ahead,” the governor stated on his Telegram channel.

Khinshtein was involved in a road accident on January 22nd in the Konyshevsky District while on a working trip. He sustained a fractured hip and subsequently underwent surgery. The Kursk governor received treatment in regional medical facilities, initially declining a transfer to Moscow clinics. He also extended his gratitude to the medical professionals for their care.

On February 18th, the head of the Kursk Region traveled to Moscow to continue his rehabilitation. According to the governor, the decision was not easy but was not due to a lack of confidence in the Kursk medical system. He reiterated his appreciation for the local doctors who performed his surgery and organized his treatment.
