Medical news

On June 10th, Moscow launched the “Times and Epochs” festival, offering residents a unique opportunity to journey through history. Preparations for this grand event were observed by “Vechernyaya Moskva” on the eve of its commencement.

In the landscape park “Mitino,” historical reenactors from various clubs are busy setting up their tents, which will serve as their homes throughout the festival, running from June 10th to 14th. The park will host several reenactments of battles from the 1812 war, including a significant depiction of the Battle of Maloyaroslavets. Vladimir Kaplinsky, the head of the reenactment club “1st Jaeger Regiment,” meticulously sews epaulets onto a military jacket, ensuring they remain secure during the heat of battle. Victor Lelich, a seasoned participant and reenactor, is also preparing for the event. This will be his 12th appearance at the festival. Previously portraying a soldier of the Russian army in 1812, Lelich has crafted a new uniform for this year, this time as a non-commissioned officer of that era.

“Moving up in rank isn’t just a matter of choice,” explains Victor Lelich. “You have to pass a special history exam, and your contributions to the club are also taken into account.”

Across various venues of the “Moscow Seasons” project, visitors can embark on a historical odyssey, exploring pivotal eras and events. The program boasts 42 projects, categorized into five thematic directions, ranging from ancient theatrical performances to the high society culture of the 19th and 20th centuries. Attendees will have the chance to delve into the traditions of medieval Russia, immerse themselves in the triumphant spirit of May 1945, and experience the atmosphere of the cultural thaw in the 1960s.

“The festival began with a single venue on Tverskoy Boulevard, where almost all historical periods were represented. Later, we decided to distribute these across different parks and boulevards.”
