Medical news

More than 20,000 motorcyclists participated in a ride around the Garden Ring to celebrate the opening of the motorcycle season, marking an absolute record for the number of attendees. This was announced by Maxim Lixutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow and head of the capital’s Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, on Saturday, May 17.

Lixutov stated, “We regularly hold large-scale motorcycle festivals. Such events help remind participants about responsible behavior behind the wheel. The result of this work is a reduction in accidents. Since the beginning of the year, 70 accidents involving motorcyclists, including couriers on powerful electric transport, have been recorded. This is almost 40% less than last year. The number of injured has decreased by 34%. We will continue to improve driving culture as instructed by the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin.”

The extensive convoy was led by representatives from 38 motorcycle clubs and communities, with the procession leaders determined in advance by a draw.
