Moscow Weather Forecast: Variable Clouds and Mild Temperatures on May 3

On Sunday, May 3rd, the capital region is expected to have variable cloud cover, with predominantly dry conditions. The maximum temperature in Moscow will reach 8–19 degrees Celsius. In the Moscow Oblast, temperatures are predicted to be between 7–19 degrees Celsius.

Winds will be from the southwest, blowing at a speed of 4–8 meters per second, with occasional gusts reaching 10–12 meters per second. Atmospheric pressure at midday will be around 750 millimeters of mercury. The relative humidity will be approximately 54 percent.

Previously, on May 1st, leading meteorologist Evgeny Tishkovets from the Fobos weather center announced that meteorological summer would arrive in the region on May 4th, with temperatures rising to plus 23 degrees Celsius. According to the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, the first spring thunderstorm of 2026 is anticipated in Moscow and the Moscow Oblast on May 5th, when daytime temperatures in the capital are forecast to be between 23–25 degrees Celsius.

Despite these warmer predictions, on the last day of April, snowdrifts in the city broke a 90-year record. Even without frost, the snow cover at VDNKh had only decreased by three centimeters.
