Nikolai Tsiskaridze’s Deep Admiration for Alla Pugacheva: “It’s My DNA”

Medical news

Nikolai Tsiskaridze, the rector of the Vaganova Imperial Ballet Academy, has openly expressed his deep affection for singer Alla Pugacheva. He stated that current events surrounding her do not concern him, and he refrains from judging her choices regarding her place of residence.

According to Tsiskaridze, the Prima Donna has been a source of inspiration for him since childhood, standing alongside legendary vocalists like Edith Piaf and Maria Callas. He considers her one of the most powerful voices he has encountered.

“Many other great individuals have been added to that list since, but these are my DNA. And why should I, someone much younger, have the right to judge a person for where they want to live? Or for what they’ve said? What does this have to do with their creative work?” Tsiskaridze questioned in an interview with Nadezhda Strelets on her YouTube channel.

Additionally, Tsiskaridze commented on the performance of “Hamlet” at the Moscow Art Theatre named after Chekhov, featuring Yura Borisov in the lead role. He acknowledged the actors’ talented performances but cautioned against making hasty judgments.

He noted that while the play itself did not align with his personal aesthetic preferences, he nonetheless emphasized the skillful acting and the cohesive effort of the entire production team.
