Basta Settles 54,000 Ruble Patent Debt, Company Accounts Still Frozen
Russian rapper Vasily Vakulenko, known by his stage name Basta, has cleared a debt of 54,000 rubles related to patent and other fees. Despite this payment, the accounts of his company, Gazgolder-Record, are still blocked, according to information from the tax service and available to RIA Novosti.
In July, it was reported that the Federal Tax Service (FNS) had frozen operations on the accounts of Gazgolder-Record, co-founded by Vakulenko, and that the artist himself had a debt of 54,000 rubles for patent and other duties.
As of Monday, Vakulenko no longer has any outstanding debt for "patent and other fees" owed to the Federal Service for Intellectual Property.
However, the company's accounts, Gazgolder-Record, remain blocked. The reason cited for this continued freeze is the organization's failure to submit its tax declaration on time.
Vakulenko, also known by his alter-egos Niggеno and Nintendo, is a singer, rapper, musician, and actor.
