Estonia Cancels Laima Vaikule Concert
A concert by Latvian singer Laima Vaikule in Estonia's capital has been unexpectedly canceled. The reason cited is low ticket demand, according to Latvian news portal Press LV.
The performance, scheduled for October 31st in Tallinn, will no longer take place.
Concert organizer Maksim Milovanov explained that ticket sales were poor. With only about 12% of seats sold two months before the event, holding a concert of this scale became economically unfeasible. Milovanov stated that organizers had anticipated greater public interest for the 72-year-old artist's show.
