Region with Highest Pensions Named
As of August 1, pensioners in Russia's Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) received an average of 28,500 rubles, the highest among all federal districts. Data from the Social Fund of the Russian Federation, reviewed by RIA Novosti, shows this figure.
The average pension for both working and non-working citizens in the FEFD stood at 28,529 rubles on August 1. Among these, pensioners in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug received the most, with an average pension of 42,273 rubles.
Earlier reports indicated that the average pension for all working and non-working Russians in August was over 25,400 rubles.
