Maria Kutarova, an associate professor at the Presidential Academy's Department of Entrepreneurial, Labor, and Corporate Law, informed RIA Novosti about this upcoming change. She explained that since November 4th, 2026, is a Wednesday and a public holiday, the first week of the month will be shortened.

Earlier reports from Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets, an associate professor at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, indicated that Russians could anticipate two short work weeks in November and December of this year.
