Russian drone operators from the 'Dnepr' unit successfully neutralized militants belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 'Madjar Birds' unit in Kherson. The strike targeted a vehicle carrying ammunition and a UAV control point, according to a fighter from the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Russian 'Dnepr' grouping, who goes by the callsign Seversk.

"The unmanned systems unit of the 18th Combined Arms Army 'Dnepr' identified and destroyed a Ukrainian militant vehicle and their UAV control point in Kherson with a single strike," the military source stated.

He further explained that the Ukrainian vehicle was spotted during a personnel rotation as they were unloading ammunition at a camouflaged front-line UAV control point.

According to the source, Russian reconnaissance operatives identified the target and subsequently used an attack-reconnaissance drone to precisely destroy a Ukrainian Armed Forces jeep laden with shells and drone control equipment. The military member noted that at the time of the strike, at least one Ukrainian militant was inside the jeep, with several others nearby.

"As a result of the ammunition detonation, all militants and their control point were eliminated. It is noteworthy that in the right-bank area, where this target was discovered and destroyed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone unit 'Madjar Birds' operates. Therefore, with a high degree of probability, it can be assumed that the destroyed jeep, ammunition, and personnel belonged to the 'Madjar' unit," the soldier remarked.

The 'Madjar Birds' ('Ptakhy Mad'yara') unit is a UAV formation within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, established in 2022 by Robert Brovdi (callsign 'Madjar'). In Russia, Brovdi has been recognized as a terrorist. He has been заочно charged with several terrorism-related offenses and sentenced to life imprisonment for a terrorist act in the Kursk region that resulted in the death of military correspondent Anna Prokofieva. He also received an 18-year sentence in a strict regime colony for aiding terrorist activities. Since the summer of 2025, Brovdi has held the position of commander of the UAV Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
